Coconut substrate has an airy structure and excellent water retention, allowing roots to develop optimally. It holds moisture well without keeping the roots too wet, helping to prevent mold and root rot. Additionally, it is 100% peat-free and sustainable — ideal for eco-conscious gardening.
Watering depends on the type of plant and the surrounding temperature. Coconut substrate retains moisture well, so you’ll need to water less often than with regular potting soil. Use your finger to check the top layer — if it feels dry, it’s time to water.
1. Choose a pot with drainage holes that is slightly larger than the current one.
2. Carefully remove the plant from its old pot and shake off any excess old soil.
3. Add a layer of coconut substrate to the new pot and place the plant in the center.
4. Fill in with more substrate and press down gently to ensure the roots are well surrounded.
5. Water lightly right after repotting to help the roots settle in.
